Governance

Public trust requires clear roles, records and boundaries

FCLC's governance framework is designed to protect its educational purposes, non-partisan character and accountability as the organization grows.

01

Core principles

Board oversight

Directors supervise FCLC's affairs and act in the best interests of the corporation.

Voting membership

Membership is a legal governance role, not a donor, advisor, speaker or participant designation.

Conflict management

Material interests are disclosed, affected decision-makers recuse, and related transactions must be fair and documented.

Corporate records

FCLC maintains the resolutions, minutes, registers and accounting records required by law.

02

FCLC and TK Debate

FCLC may collaborate with TK Debate on selected educational initiatives through written, program-specific agreements.

TK Debate's brand, trademarks, curriculum, competition systems, registration platform, CRM, customer data and commercial rights remain outside FCLC. FCLC controls its own name, governance, nonprofit funds, donor and sponsor records, scholarships and public-interest materials.

03

Non-partisan participation

Public officials and political figures may participate in educational programs as civic educators or institutional representatives, never as campaign representatives. FCLC does not support or oppose any political party or candidate.

Governance documents are being finalized

Policies and public reporting will be added as they are formally adopted.
